Norris Wins the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix: Full Results and Championship Standings

Lando Norris leaves Zandvoort on top. In the final scheduled Formula 1 race at the iconic Dutch circuit, the reigning World Champion delivered another statement victory, beating championship leader Kimi Antonelli in a dramatic race that featured a red flag, a standing restart and a late battle for the lead.

Norris started from pole but lost the advantage to Antonelli after the restart. The McLaren driver stayed patient, extended his stint and eventually reclaimed first place with 18 laps remaining to secure his second consecutive Grand Prix victory. Antonelli finished second, while George Russell completed a Mercedes double podium in third.

The result means Antonelli leaves the Netherlands with a 59-point championship advantage, while Norris continues to revive his title hopes.

How the race unfolded

The final Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort delivered drama from the opening lap. Max Verstappen's home race ended almost immediately when he lost control and crashed, triggering a red flag and a standing restart.

At the restart, Antonelli produced a brilliant launch and moved ahead of Norris to take the lead. Mercedes appeared to have control of the race, but Norris chose a different strategy, extending his stint and preserving fresher tyres for the closing phase.

With 18 laps remaining, Norris finally made his move on Antonelli and reclaimed the lead. From there, the McLaren driver controlled the race to secure his second consecutive Grand Prix victory.

Behind them, Mercedes used team orders to allow Antonelli ahead of Russell, ensuring the championship leader secured second place while Russell held off Lewis Hamilton for third.

With rain threatening during the final minutes of qualifying, the drivers rushed to complete their final laps. Lando Norris timed his final run perfectly, producing a 1:11.163 to take pole position. Twelve rounds down, and Mercedes still holds the upper hand. Kimi Antonelli leads the Drivers' Championship with 242 points, 59 clear of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, who are tied on 183. Norris' recent surge has brought him to 159, but he remains 83 points behind Antonelli.

The Constructors' Championship is even more favourable for Mercedes. With 425 points, the team leads Ferrari by 87, while McLaren's recent improvement has moved them to 263.

But the biggest story may be Norris. After winning in Hungary and now Zandvoort, the reigning champion has suddenly found momentum at exactly the right moment.
