Sagesse Beirut took a big step toward the Lebanese Basketball League final, edging Central Jounieh 100-93 for a second straight win in the Final Four. The Greens now lead the best-of-five series 2-0 and need just one more victory to book their place in the final.
How the game unfolded
The tie ebbed and flowed between the two sides, with the quarters going as follows:
- First quarter: 26-26
- Second quarter: 34-21 Central, to lead 60-47
- Third quarter: 27-12 Sagesse, to lead 74-72
- Fourth quarter: 26-21 Sagesse, to close it out 100-93
Trailing by 13 points at half-time, Sagesse flipped the game with a dominant third quarter and never surrendered the lead again.

Deshaundre Washington led the way with a superb triple-double: 28 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Sekou Doumbouya backed him up with 24 points and 4 rebounds, Harrison Allen added 16 points and 4 rebounds, and Youssef Khayat chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds.
Central
Aneuri Castillo starred with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Donte McGill and Jihad El Khatib each scored 21 — McGill adding 4 rebounds, El Khatib 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Abdoulaye Gueye contributed 17 points and 6 rebounds.
What's next in the series
Sagesse had opened the series with a comfortable 88-75 win in Game 1. Game 3 takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, at 8:30 PM, with Sagesse looking to finish the job and seal their spot in the final.
The other semi-final
In the other last-four series, Riyadi and Antonine play their own Game 3 today, also at 8:30 PM, after splitting the first two games 1-1.
